Advisory Services (DIYFi Advisors LLC)

Separately from the educational content above, DIYFi Advisors LLC, a registered investment adviser, offers fee-only financial planning services (fixed-fee packages, hourly consulting, and custom engagements; see services). These services are governed by a written client agreement, which controls if it conflicts with this section. Reading this website does not create an advisory relationship.

• Scope. Services are limited to the scope in your client agreement. Unless stated otherwise, we do not monitor your finances on an ongoing basis, update advice after services are completed, make investment decisions on your behalf, or take custody of your assets.
• Fiduciary duty. We act as a fiduciary, with a duty of care, loyalty, honesty, and good faith. We are not attorneys, accountants, or insurance agents, and our services are not legal, accounting, or insurance implementation services.
• Your responsibilities. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, tell us promptly about material changes, participate in implementation sessions, and implement recommendations at your own discretion. You retain sole responsibility for all investment decisions.
• Fees and payment. Fees are as specified in your client agreement. Hourly services are billed in half-hour increments. A portion of the fee is due at signing, with the balance due on completion of the final implementation session.
• Term and termination. The agreement continues until services are completed, but not longer than 120 days from signing unless extended in writing. You may terminate at any time with written notice and owe fees earned to that date. We may terminate with written notice and will refund any unearned fees paid in advance.
• Risk. All investments involve risk, including loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and we cannot guarantee any financial outcome.
• Confidentiality. Information exchanged between you and us is confidential except as agreed in writing or required by law. See our Privacy Policy.
• Disputes and governing law. Claims arising from the advisory agreement are first addressed through mediation, then binding arbitration under American Arbitration Association rules. The agreement is governed by Illinois law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of DIYFi after changes to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
